Laura lived in a totally different place than Hogwarts; New York City. She lived in a small apartment, on the second floor of the ten story building. Laura's parents, both muggles, were Witch and Wizard hating people. In fact, if they were back during the witch hunting times, Laura would be one dead girl. Her muggle parents did their best to raise her as a magic hater, but Laura wouldn't go against it. When she was eleven, a letter appeared that changed her life. What it stated was the Laura Doyle was a witch, and was invited to Hogwarts. To not upset her parents, Laura ran away to England, stowing upon a plane. She had a penpal who lived there, also a witch, and they made their way to Hogwarts.

Laura has long, straight, blonde hair and the classic blues eyes that go with. She is short, in fact, she is unusually short for her age, at four feet, eight inches. Laura is also skinny, and relatively pale skinned, with the occasion freckles across her nose.

Laura is a girl who is shy around new people, yet very social and witty among those she knows. She isn't much of a show off, but will eagerly take what ever chance she gets to show her smarts. She thinks herself weird, in fact, she takes weird as a compliment if it's from her friends. She has a tendency to get one close friend, and that's it, but right now she's trying to break that habit. She also doesn't think before she speaks, but she will feel guilty if that habit ends up hurting others. Laura is the type of girl who is willing to be friends with anybody, but she does have enemies.

Caitlin lived in a very small apartment in London, with her Aunt. Her mother was a witch, her father a muggle, and they died when she was a baby, of an unknown cause. She didn't have problems with bullies, taking the
comedy approach. At eleven, she had received her letter from Hogwarts, but her Aunt wanted her to be normal. She wouldn't let Caitlin go, so Caitlin ran away one night, catching the train.

Caitlin can be described by many as a "ginger." She has waist length, straight, pale red hair. She has sea green eyes, and she always wears a red barrette. She is pale and burns easily, and she has no freckles whatsoever. She is average height, at 5 feet 4 inches.

Caitlin is extremely outgoing and friendly. She is a big joker, and she is always looking for friends. She has a serious side, never seen by any of her friends or family, since she only has it during a war. She isn't very academic, considering the fact she hardly ever does homework and is always fooling around. Caitlin is a girl who it is very difficult not to get along with.

Randy is in her fifth year.

Randy lived in a very small town in England, out in the country. She and her two wizarding parents lived a rustic, nonmagic life, despite the fact that they were both wizards. You see, her parents hated how the whole magic community and ministry was working out. They were determined not to let Randy to to Hogwarts.

When she was very young, her mum abandoned the family, disgusted with her dad after he was caught using magic. Since he lost his wife because of that, he went to the extremes trying to destroy his wizarding identity, even breaking his own wand.

Randy grew up, not knowing why her mum abandoned her. She had the vague idea that it was her dad's fault, but also had the same one that every child with divorced parents had; that her mum left because of her. Randy's dad didn't discourage the idea.

Randy ran away at age ten, feeling that she was unwanted. She happened to run into her mum and new step-dad, who took her in. Her "parents" kept up the pretense that they weren't actually related to her.

At 11, her letter arrived Against her mother's will, her step ad let her go to Hogwarts. His argument was that their false adoption of her would be discovered. Randy comes home for Summer, still not realizing that her adopted mother is her real one.

Randy is often described as "Pretty for a Slytherin girl." She has light, blueish grey eyes, that look nice with her pale complexion. Randy's hair is straight, in fact she finds it to straight. It's about shoulder length, and darker brown at the roots.

Randy is a very self conscious girl, and she's rather pessimistic. Randy also gets depressed very easily. On the bright side, Randy also is a very loyal friend, and she isn't judgmental at all. She is naturally an introvert, but tries to be social and not lose her temper.
